Happy Halloween!!!!

Happy Halloween all!!!!

So I tried posting the other day, but the video wouldn't upload and I think it deleted my post. Maybe it was saved...I'm not sure. I'll look when I'm done writing this one. So Logan enjoyed his first Halloween...I think. He didn't complain at all, so I'm assuming it was a good time. We went to a costume party at our friends' (Mat and Dani) so we got all dressed up. I was Dorothy, Zac was the Scarecrow, and Logan made his starring appearance as the Lion. He was super cute. Especially after he was donned with eyeliner on his nose. I couldn't resist. I think he was a little embarrassed to be wearing makeup, but when we got to the Williams' house, he found out his friend James had a Snoopy nose of eyeliner, too, so it was all good.

So his Lion costume was a hit and he had a great time playing with all the other babies.

The other post that I never published talked all about his first experience with Rice Cereal. That was also a hit. He loves that stuff so much, he can't get it into his mouth fast enough. The video is pretty funny...I hope I get a chance to get it on the web page soon.

Oh! Another thing! I don't know what got into him the other night, but the boy could not stop laughing. He thought everything was soooo funny. I caught some of it on video, but the video quality isn't the greatest. It was dark because we were getting ready for bed, but you can still hear his hysterical laughter perfectly. HOWEVER, I can't get it to upload. GRRR...Sorry, I don't have time to figure it out tonight. But I promise it will be up soon (along with the eating one!!!)

Love you all!!!

Our Monday Post for Christine...

So our good friend Christine decided I need to post every Monday form now on. And I told her that I would try. Don't hold your breath...but I'll try. Logan has his 4 month well-baby check-up tomorrow, so I'll definitely be posting after that, but for now, this is whats up: Logan is laughing all the time. Eventually we'll get it on video. It's probably the cutest thing EVER.

Also, I finally got the Classic Pooh mobile I wanted from Target. I've wanted this thing for ever and I finally got it for his crib. And the best part: He LOVES it!!! He'll sit there and watch it until it stops. It's adorable AND it keeps him entertained. God Bless those people at Target.

So lastly, Logan is babbling all the time now, too. He's quite the chatter box and he comes up with the most interesting stories. So here's a video of that. Well, love you all and miss you even more!!!!

The Local Color...

The leaves are changing, the air is getting cooler, the baby is getting bigger...but that's about all that's really happening. Today was a nice lazy Sunday. It was Stake Conference...so we spent most of the day in pajamas. However, it was nice enough for a walk this evening, so we took some pictures down at the park. Then, since it was getting cold on the way home, we had to put Logan's new sheep-skin slippers on (Thanks Grandma Bev!!!!!)
So that's all. Just enjoying our time together as a family today!!!! And wishing we were with all of you, too!!!!

Homecoming...

So I lost the camera charger. AGAIN. I know, I know, I suck at life. So these pictures are from our good friends, Mat and Dani. Their son, James, is 2 months older than Logan and they are BEST FRIENDS!!! So we all went to the homecoming parade together. I don't think the babies enjoyed it as much as we did, but it was still fun. I don't know why there were Storm Troopers in the parade, but Mat and Zac and the babies ran out to get their pictures taken. And the one looks like he is going to steal Logan...hahaha!!

OH! ALSO!!!! As of Saturday (during General Conference) Logan can roll over from back to front!!!! He still hates being on his tummy so when he rolls over, he gets mad and rolls onto his back again, but he can now roll a full 360 degrees. And when I find the charger, I'll post a video. He's getting SOOOO big! I can't believe it!

Well, take care, wherever you're reading from! Love you and miss you all!!!!

Still Nothing New...

So still nothing much happening here in good old Provo. Classes are going well, Zac's jobs are just fine, and the baby is as sweet as ever. There is literally nothing to report. But I had some videos that I thought would be entertaining. Logan has started blowing bubbles a lot, so there are 2 of that. And he has attempted sitting while being propped up, but as you can see in the video, it doesn't always last very long.

Hope all is well at home...or wherever you're reading from! Love you all!!!

Just Playing Around...

So no new news to report...other than school started. We kicked off the school year last Saturday when Logan attended his first Football game. The Cougars beat Arizona!!!! It was a great game. Logan slept through most of it, but he was really, really cute! He had a little blue baseball hat on (to keep out of the blazing hot sun) and hung out in his front-pack carrier. Naturally, we forgot to take pictures. But it was a lot of fun.

So school started a week ago. Classes are going well so far and so is the babysitting schedule. Aunt Savannah helps out on Tuesdays and Thursdays while Zac and I are both at class, and Aunt Liz will be taking an hour on Fridays so Zac can work. That only leaves one class for Logan to have to attend. We haven't tried it yet, but we'll see how it goes in a few days!

So while he's not on campus and cheering on his favorite football team, Logan spends most of his days developing his awesome smile and cute little laugh. So these are just pictures of him playing with his mom and a video with Daddy. He's so much fun! And gets more fun every day!!!!

Rolling over...

So he's been able to do this for weeks now, but again, I couldn't upload the video for a while. Also, he is laying on his very favorite quilt, made by his very favorite Aunt Jorden! It is the coolest quilt ever. And just today, when I was sitting outside with Logan and all the moms at our playground, I had it on my lap and one of the girls was like, "Holy cow, did you MAKE that?" and I said, "No, but my fourteen year old cousin did." (ps, Jordie, if you're not fourteen, my apologies. I had to restrain myself from saying you were 9 because that's what you are in my mind. You're my baby cousin!!!) So it was all the rage this morning. People were totally jealous :-) It really is an amazing quilt and we absolutely love it!!!!

And then Logan has finally found his fingers. He sucks on them all the time, especially when he's half asleep at night and he looses his pacifier. Or his "Binky" as Zac calls it. Well anyways, he sucks on his fingers so hard that it makes the loudest noises. We can hear it when he is in his crib and we are watching TV in the living room. It amazes me that he doesn't wake himself up doing it! So there are cute pictures of that :-)

Bath Time...

So the other night (well, actually it was like 3 weeks ago because I couldn't find the usb cable to upload the pics from the camera to the computer...) I was feeding Logan and he let a huge poo out. The next thing I know, I felt warm and sure enough it was a massive blowout. So that preempted bath time and we thought we'd get it on video how much he actually LOVES his baths! Well, and his rubber ducky, of course.

Blessing Pictures...

Ok, I promised pictures. Liz was kind enough to send these three, so here they are! Logan and Great-Grandpa Charlie, Logan hanging out in Daddy's arms, and the three of us all taken the day Zac blessed him in our good old Canandaigua Ward on July 29th. It was a great day!!!!

"2 Month" Check-up...

So Logan had his 2 Month Well-Baby check-up today. Even though he's only 6 and a half weeks...oops. When I set up the appointment, it was at his 2 week check-up. And instead of making it 6 weeks from that appointment, I made it for when he was going to be 6 weeks old. My bad. But whatever. I was deliriously tired at that point. So we went in and nothing major to report. He weighed 12 lbs, 4 oz which puts him close to the 90th percentile for weight. He's a chunk! He's now 23 inches long, which keeps him at the 75th percentile for height, and he still has a fat head at 41 cm, also in the 90th percentile. I also had the doctor look at his belly-button. It was still a little gooey, which was grossing me out. It bothered the doctor a little bit, too, because it really should have been dried up completely by now. So he took this silver-nitrous stuff that is supposed to freeze the skin and create an artificial scab, allowing it to come off and heal the way it's supposed to. Well Logan didn't like that one bit. Especially when it started bleeding. It was so sad! And he had been such a good boy the whole appointment! He was laughing and cooing the entire time. And then I had to go and open my big mouth about his nasty belly-button. Oh well. He calmed down after a few minutes and we came home. Now he's passed out in his swing, which is the best thing ever invented. EVER. (Thanks Renee/Mom and Dad!) So I guess that's all from the home front for now! And I swear, as soon as I find the camera charger, there will be more pictures and videos!!! Kisses to all!!!

Back from New York...

Okay everyone, get off my back about not posting. It was a long (and at times hectic) vacation. So, apologies all around. But we are back in Utah, safe and sound. The flight wasn't too bad (Logan was a perfect little angel), except for the delays and sitting on the JFK runway for over an hour. Oh, and my $200 Maui Jim sunglasses Zac's mom gave me were stolen out of the stroller. GAY. But I guess if that's all there is to report about the trip, I can't complain too much. But I am tired and would like to get a few hours of shut-eye before the munchkin wakes up to eat, so I'm off to bed. I just didn't want to let anyone think I forgot about posting. I didn't. And there will be more to come shortly!!!!

Videos, I think...

So I have been trying to post videos for ever. Ok, not for ever, but like a week. I finally asked for help...Thanks Marie!!! So everyone back home can now get a sneak-preview of baby Logan before we come home on THURSDAY!!!! Can't wait to see everyone!!!!!

So this is one I took in the hospital. Kind of boring, but he sneezes at the end and I think that is pretty darn cute.

And this one I caught while he had the hiccups...a daily occurrence. He hates them and gets upset now, but he didn't mind them so much then. He's just so awesome!!!

Week 1....

So Logan is 1 Week old today!!!! Sorry I haven't posted, but my free time is spent sleeping these days. So here are some cute photo-shoot pictures I took trying to get one for the birth announcements. Also, here is a link to my other Facebook Album that has way more pics than the posting capacity here. So check them out!!!!!

Also, baby health update: Logan's billiruben tests were a bit high at the hospital, so he had to be re-tsted on Monday. They went up slightly so the Dr wanted him to go back again yesterday (Wednesday). When we went back, his weight was climbing back to 9 lbs 4.5 oz and the Dr said he looked great and he didn't even need another blood test. Yay for no needles, and especially for no jaundice!!!!

So every thing here is going great and we can't wait to come home to NY next week and show off our little boy!!!!!

It Actually Happened!!!!!!

Ok, so I had my doubts, but all that waiting was totally worth it! So for those of you who ar not aware yet, little Logan was born at 2:41 Thursday afternoon. But I'm getting ahead of myself...

So Wednesday night, the hospital called and told us that I was first up to be induced Thursday morning. So Daddy Zac and I headed out to the movies to celebrate our last night of not being parents (Ocean's 13...it was pretty good). Then we came home and Zac finished up his finals for Spring Term since they were supposed to take place Thursday afternoon. But seeing as how we knew we would be a bit preoccupied, his professors were more than willing to let him do them early. So after spending several hours in the HFAC working on his storyboards, he came home, wrote his final paper, and joined me for a "restfull" night's sleep.

Yeah. Right. Like we could sleep. So Thursday morning, the hospital called at 8:15 and said to be there in an hour.

9:15 - Arrived at American Fork Hospital
9:20 - Dr. Smith broke my water. NASTY. Dilated to a 5.
9:25 - Got poked with lots of needles to try and get the stupid IV in, started Pitocin. OW.
10:50 - I could handle the contractions, but I was being awefully mean to Zac (Think about the Mad About You episode). So for his sake, I got the epidural.
11:05 - Fell in love with the Epidural Man...almost proposed marriage. Then I remembered I was having someone else's child.
12:00 - Zac fell asleep and I tried at the encouragement of the Nurse, but again, Yeah Right. Like I could sleep. Dilated to a 6.
1:45 - Baby started freaking out a bit, so I had to wear a stylish oxygen mask. As if the IV wasn't annoying enough, they slapped a mask over my face. Dilated to a 9.
2:00 - Got sensation back in my right side...pushed the epidural button...recalled previous lovey feelings for Epidural Man. Then dilated to a 10!
2:20 - The Nurse decided I should start pushing. 3 pushes later, she changed her mind when the baby's head was just about out and the doctor wasn't there yet.
2:41 - Dr. Smith delivered a 9 lb 10 oz, 21-inch long baby, and Zac got to say the magic 3 words we've been waiting to hear:

"It's a Boy!!!!"

And he's doing just great!!!!!!

Ok, this is getting ridiculous...

So Grandma Jaylene came and went. Still no baby. We took her to the airport this morning around 6:00 am and sent her back to New York. Naturally, I felt horrible. 11 days she was here, hoping to meet her first grandchild and planning on helping me recover, and she had to leave before any of that happened. There was a slight glimmer of hope when the lady at the ticket counter told her the flight was overbooked, however. So she went through security and Zac and I waited for her to call to say "Hey, come back and get me, I'm staying 'til Friday!" However, no such luck. And come to think of it, she should be touching down in Rochester momentarily, so I hope she had a safe and enjoyable flight, at the very least.

So following our trip to the airport, we had another appointment scheduled with Dr. Smith. The appointment was scheduled at 10:00, so we were there at 9:55. By 10:30 they called us in and I was LIVID. I was having a bad day anyways, having just sent off Zac's mom, I was really upset at having to wait 45 minuted to even get into the office. So there I was, tearing up, and the nurse took us back to the exam room. She took my blood pressure, which was at a whopping 150/90. Naturally it was skyrocketing because I was pissed. So she suggested that she'd take it again in a few minutes. So then we had another ultrasound, to make sure everything was ok with the baby. It was, so no worries there. But then stupid me had to go and ask the tech how big the baby was, if she had to hazard a guess.

Tech: Do you really want to know?
Me: Yeah.
Tech: Ok, well, keep in mind I could be off by up to a pound and a half up or down.
Me: Ok.
Tech: I'm currenly showing 9 lbs 9 oz.
Me: ***** [edied for content].

So basically, best case scenario, I'm looking at delivering an 8 lb baby on Thursday. Worst case? That ups it to over 10 lbs. I think I might die. However, there was an upside to this visit. I will, without a doubt, be induced on Thursday the 21st. And because I'm already dilated so far, Dr. Smith told me that after I'm admitted, they will start an IV of fluids and, even before they start the Pitocin and break my water, I can get my epidural. So I could have a potentially pain-free delivery right from the start. I guess there is a bit of justice in all of this waiting after all. But we'll see how all of that goes...and who knows. This could very well be my last update while still pregnant!!!! Keep checking in!!!!
