Week 1....
So Logan is 1 Week old today!!!! Sorry I haven't posted, but my free time is spent sleeping these days. So here are some cute photo-shoot pictures I took trying to get one for the birth announcements. Also, here is a link to my other Facebook Album that has way more pics than the posting capacity here. So check them out!!!!!

Also, baby health update: Logan's billiruben tests were a bit high at the hospital, so he had to be re-tsted on Monday. They went up slightly so the Dr wanted him to go back again yesterday (Wednesday). When we went back, his weight was climbing back to 9 lbs 4.5 oz and the Dr said he looked great and he didn't even need another blood test. Yay for no needles, and especially for no jaundice!!!!
So every thing here is going great and we can't wait to come home to NY next week and show off our little boy!!!!!

It Actually Happened!!!!!!
Ok, so I had my doubts, but all that waiting was totally worth it! So for those of you who ar not aware yet, little Logan was born at 2:41 Thursday afternoon. But I'm getting ahead of myself...
So Wednesday night, the hospital called and told us that I was first up to be induced Thursday morning. So Daddy Zac and I headed out to the movies to celebrate our last night of not being parents (Ocean's 13...it was pretty good). Then we came home and Zac finished up his finals for Spring Term since they were supposed to take place Thursday afternoon. But seeing as how we knew we would be a bit preoccupied, his professors were more than willing to let him do them early. So after spending several hours in the HFAC working on his storyboards, he came home, wrote his final paper, and joined me for a "restfull" night's sleep.
Yeah. Right. Like we could sleep. So Thursday morning, the hospital called at 8:15 and said to be there in an hour.
9:15 - Arrived at American Fork Hospital
9:20 - Dr. Smith broke my water. NASTY. Dilated to a 5.
9:25 - Got poked with lots of needles to try and get the stupid IV in, started Pitocin. OW.
10:50 - I could handle the contractions, but I was being awefully mean to Zac (Think about the Mad About You episode). So for his sake, I got the epidural.
11:05 - Fell in love with the Epidural Man...almost proposed marriage. Then I remembered I was having someone else's child.
12:00 - Zac fell asleep and I tried at the encouragement of the Nurse, but again, Yeah Right. Like I could sleep. Dilated to a 6.
1:45 - Baby started freaking out a bit, so I had to wear a stylish oxygen mask. As if the IV wasn't annoying enough, they slapped a mask over my face. Dilated to a 9.
2:00 - Got sensation back in my right side...pushed the epidural button...recalled previous lovey feelings for Epidural Man. Then dilated to a 10!
2:20 - The Nurse decided I should start pushing. 3 pushes later, she changed her mind when the baby's head was just about out and the doctor wasn't there yet.
2:41 - Dr. Smith delivered a 9 lb 10 oz, 21-inch long baby, and Zac got to say the magic 3 words we've been waiting to hear:
"It's a Boy!!!!"
And he's doing just great!!!!!!

Ok, this is getting ridiculous...
So Grandma Jaylene came and went. Still no baby. We took her to the airport this morning around 6:00 am and sent her back to New York. Naturally, I felt horrible. 11 days she was here, hoping to meet her first grandchild and planning on helping me recover, and she had to leave before any of that happened. There was a slight glimmer of hope when the lady at the ticket counter told her the flight was overbooked, however. So she went through security and Zac and I waited for her to call to say "Hey, come back and get me, I'm staying 'til Friday!" However, no such luck. And come to think of it, she should be touching down in Rochester momentarily, so I hope she had a safe and enjoyable flight, at the very least.
So following our trip to the airport, we had another appointment scheduled with Dr. Smith. The appointment was scheduled at 10:00, so we were there at 9:55. By 10:30 they called us in and I was LIVID. I was having a bad day anyways, having just sent off Zac's mom, I was really upset at having to wait 45 minuted to even get into the office. So there I was, tearing up, and the nurse took us back to the exam room. She took my blood pressure, which was at a whopping 150/90. Naturally it was skyrocketing because I was pissed. So she suggested that she'd take it again in a few minutes. So then we had another ultrasound, to make sure everything was ok with the baby. It was, so no worries there. But then stupid me had to go and ask the tech how big the baby was, if she had to hazard a guess.
Tech: Do you really want to know?
Me: Yeah.
Tech: Ok, well, keep in mind I could be off by up to a pound and a half up or down.
Me: Ok.
Tech: I'm currenly showing 9 lbs 9 oz.
Me: ***** [edied for content].
So basically, best case scenario, I'm looking at delivering an 8 lb baby on Thursday. Worst case? That ups it to over 10 lbs. I think I might die. However, there was an upside to this visit. I will, without a doubt, be induced on Thursday the 21st. And because I'm already dilated so far, Dr. Smith told me that after I'm admitted, they will start an IV of fluids and, even before they start the Pitocin and break my water, I can get my epidural. So I could have a potentially pain-free delivery right from the start. I guess there is a bit of justice in all of this waiting after all. But we'll see how all of that goes...and who knows. This could very well be my last update while still pregnant!!!! Keep checking in!!!!

And waiting some more...
With Grandma Jaylene's departure only 3 more days away, I was desparate. So yesterday at about 3:00 pm, I bit the bullet and drank Castor Oil. It wasn't as nasty as everyone made it out to be...it was basically like vegetable oil. And mixed in with extra pulp orange juice, it was barely noticeable. And I figured the worst it would do is give me horrendous bowel movements. Well, I was a bit uncomfortable about 6 hours later and then all of a sudden, I started getting regular contractions that really hurt. They were about 4 minutes apart and lasted for a good two hours. So Jaylene said "Go to the hospital." I was a bit skeptical, but we went anyways. I really, really did NOT want to be that girl that goes in thinking she's in labor and then they say "You're retarded, go home." I always felt so bad for Annie Banks-McKenzie in Father of the Bride Part II when she went to the hospital like 5 times and kept getting sent home. So at about 1:00 am, they decided that I was in a lot of pain, but that pain wasn't going to get the baby out. They told me I could stay there and be checked again in an hour, but we just opted to come home. I was really tired. So they loaded me with a dose of Percocet and sent me home to get some sleep. And boy did I! Still some contractions this morning, with a lot of cramping, but I don't know if Zac will get to be an actual father for Father's Day. Oh well...check back for updates!

And still waiting....
Ok, ok, I know it's only 2 days past the due date, but I'm getting restless. This baby is really starting to push my buttons. But I suppose that's how it's going to be for the next 20+ years, right? Well, we had a doctor's appointment yesterday. Good news and bad news. The good news? The baby is perfectly happy, healthy, and normal. Fluid levels are perfect and the ultrasound even showed the baby smiling and playing with his/her fingers. (Speaking of which, there are exactly 10 of those and 10 cute little toes.) Then the bad news. Well, it's not bad for most people, just for me...still being pregnant and all. Dr. Smith said she'd induce me next week. The only thing is that she's not on call until THURSDAY. THE FREAKING 21ST. Needless to say, I'm not happy about the prospect of being this big that much longer. Hopefully, it won't come down to that, but whatever. They say it will eventually happen.
Well, that's all the news from the homefront. Keep checking for updates! And when the baby comes (IF the baby comes!) we'll be sure to post pictures right away!

And from outside of the Tummy...
And these are the shots of me that so many people had asked for, but that I regretfully post. I don't like seeing myself this way, so I definately don't want other people to see me huge either! But you asked, so I delivered...
...Also, the "building" of the crib. I was useless, but Daddy Zac and Aunt Savannah did a nice job!!!
Still waiting on the baby...
So with one day until the baby's official due date, we're patiently awaiting our new arrival. OK, maybe not so patiently. If this baby doesn't come out soon, I may have to kill someone. It could be my doctor, but it could just as easily be Zac. But either way, I'm SOOO ready for this to be over with. So while I'm sitting here waiting, I thought I'd post a few Pregnancy/pre-baby photos to be enjoyed. So enjoy!!!!
Well family, here it is...
So we had a webpage that most of our friends could view that had all sorts of pictures and everything that kept them updated on our lives. But in order to view all of that fun stuff, you had to have an account. Not so fair for everyone else. So my wonderful friends Marie and Ben suggested setting up an account here so everyone could be in on our lives. So here it is!!!
